Thank you for your interest in Our Lady of the Visitacion School. We have been an effective
educational establishment since 1964 in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood. Our
mission is to educate the whole child, and we, along with the Daughters of Charity, work hard to
provide a quality Catholic education to those students who enter our school.

Applications for new students (Kindergarten through Grade 6) to Our Lady of the Visitacion School are now being accepted. Although OLV School serves students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade, we only accept new applicants for grades K-6.

It is our goal to help you understand what will be needed in order for your child to apply for and
be admitted for the 2022/2023 school year.

Step 1 Applying to OLV:
- Complete our school application and the supplemental questionnaire:
- The following documents should be provided to the school office with applications:
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Baptismal certificate (if Catholic)
- Copy of First Communion Certificate (if Catholic)
- Copy of Health/Immunization record
- Copy of most recent report card
- Copy of Standardized test scores
- Pay a non-refundable $25 Testing Fee, this can be cash or check and must be submitted before testing.
- Once all parts of Step 1 are completed, we will notify you of your time slot for your child to partake in a readiness screening.
Step 2 Readiness Screenings:
- Applicants in Grades 1 to 6 will complete new student testing upon receipt of the complete application
and may be invited to spend a day with the class.
Step 3 Admission:
- You will receive a notice through email notifying you of your child’s admission status.
- For students that are accepted, the following steps need to be completed to secure the child’s spot in the class:
- Payment of the $150 non-refundable registration fee
- Completion of all registration paperwork
- Apply for financial aid and tuition management through www.tads.com.
